Hi women,

I have been to all of the provinces and one territory and would like to share a few of my favourite spots to visit which you may or may not get to visit depending on the breadth and scope of your travels.

1. Midnight Sun Coffee Roaster – Whitehorse, YK
This independent cofee roaster is a wonderful little spot. Damn good coffee too!

2. Wanusewin Heritage Park – Near Saskatoon, SK
A park and facility that details the history of the indigenous people of the Prairies. It is a beautiful and peaceful place that caries the energy of the people of the plains.

3. Bushwakker Brew Pub – Regina, SK
For a PERFECT bison burger, the best home-made fries, and their own brewed beers, this is a perfect end to a long travel day…and lunch the next day…and dinner that night…

4. The Farmer’s Market – Charlottetown, PEI
You can get everything from bread to veggies to meat. A must see. They also have fresh-made food so you can easily go for brunch! I recommend the shish taouk.

5. Frosty Treat – Kensington. PEI
The Frosty Treat is only open seasonally but opening day is a big deal on the Island! And you know what they say about a plce that the locals frequent…

I’m not sure why all of my favouite things include food (!) but I hope that you keep this in your globe box (or whatever it is in an Airstream!) for a day when you might be able to use it.

Much love and best of luck in the planning.

those of us who have traveled extensively throughout our lifetime know what a wonderful and enriching experience you are headed for – you will be living everyone’s dream. i wish you an exciting and fun time, but as they say in England, you can do anything you want as long as you “don’t scare the horses.”

by the way, do you guys have a purpose, or mission, or objective or is this journey just a free spririted adventure?

be safe …..

Hi Kim & Deb:
We have not been able to follow your blog site with the regularity we would have liked…..we lost three computers in rapid succession not long after you left. We will not be on from home for a couple of weeks.
We are currently visiting with our son in Mansfield Mass., helping celebrate Memorial day,,,,all the computers work here!!!!
The all metal Airstream makes a very good screen to electromagnetic and electrostatic waves of all kinds….if you havn’t solved yout WiFi problems… here is a hint that may work….Bring your outside TV antenna lead in in proximity to you computer. If it is twinlead you can extend it by splicing an insulated wire to one side…. if it is coax cable you need to exrend the centre conductor a couple of feet…..keep either method away from the wall of the trailer and away from metal objects . Let me know by email how that works?????
Happy “AIRSTREAM DREAMING”

I’m writing on behalf of my sister, Barbara, who is a friend of Eleanor. They walk their dogs together in Angel Woods. Barbara is now in Charlottetown with her best friend, Daisy (a 9 year old Australian Shepherd) and has been reading and enjoying your blog daily. She would like to make contact with you both and hopes that you will give her a call. She doesn’t have e-mail so she asked that I send this message for her.

Hoping you can all meet up soon,

Frances Kenny

Great site! My husband and I just recently became full timers in an Airstream as well. Isn’t it the best?!? Came across your site through airforums.com and just wanted to say hi to fellow airstreamers. :)

I have enjoyed following your story. My girlfriend and I are preparing for our first Airstream adventure. We live in San Antonio, TX and are drivng to Boulder, CO in October to pick up our 1963 Tradewind 24′. Nervous and excited at the same time. Will tow back to TX and pratice for a while to hopefully get the guts to leave the rat race in a year or so–at least for while. Perhaps our paths will cross along the way. Any advice appreciated—like–how do you have wine celler and the bottes wont break when traveling?

very cool, you’ll have to send pictures etc. I love the older ones, they are great. It’s going to all be scary at first, so much to learn, but give yourselves some time and you’ll love it. Far as the wine celler… boxed wine is the answer!

Hi Deb and Kim,

I’m just sitting here on a really rainy, windy Saturday night reading about your big adventure. I wish I was there….and I wish it was still summer.

Your blog is amazing. We check it every few days to see what you’re up to now. Post some pictures of the three of you when you get a chance.

The trailer renovations are amazing. Really good planning on the layout!
Your found a terrific carpenter because that would have been a difficult job with all of the curved walls he had to work with!

Miss you both! Max misses his “boys” too….

Hope you continue to have the time of your lives!

Here’s to livin’ the dream….

Just read the article in “Our Canada” and wanted to add a little note just to say that I hope your having the times of your life… your living a dream!! I’m envious.. that being said I’ve enjoyed reading your stories.. was sure disappointed to see no recent posts regarding “Lucky the lobster trap” location… sad to think that someone couldn’t get into the “game”.. would have made for great reading to know it had made it safely to it’s destination :-)

Wanted to know if you ever found a copy of Our Canada magazine.. if not.. message me back and I’ll make sure you get the copy that has the story printed in it… I’ll mail it to your next desitnation, or the one after that… would love for you to be able to have a copy of your own to keep as a memento.

Have fun.. be safe.. enjoy the “ride”

Hello Deb and Kim!

Congratulations on your training! We are looking forward to hearing more about the climb. :)
It’s so refreshing to come across your blog and hear about your life journey. We stumbled upon your link and got lost in your beautiful array of websites! Your unique artwork, web designs, Reiki connection, your true spiritual passion and love for life….(the list goes on) is simply inspiring.

We are truly blessed to have found you.

We are a family of four that live full time in our RV. We recently started to blog about our travels and our lifestyle in general. Our intention is to inspire, motivate and educate people about spirituality, simplistic living, healthy eating and how to live a more fulfilling lifestyle. :)

We are off to explore this website in more depth! We hope you are enjoying your weekend and look forward to hearing from the both of you when you get a free moment!
Have a beautiful day!

Sounds like you are having a great time! It’s an inspiration for me and my partner. We are doing a similar adventure in the reverse order. For now we own and run a 10-room motel in Vermont.

We’ve been here for 5 years and love the area, meeting all the travelers and being part of a great community. Our game plan for the future is to find another couple to run the place and then we will hit the road!

In the meantime, we’ll keep reading your blog.

It is curious that a motel stay should feel like visiting the home of friends. Hmm. Many thanks for the generous kindness extended to four of my favourite people. :o )

Pleased to be following your journey.

Peace ~

Hi Deb and Kim,

You’d be happy to know that Corrie, Laura, Jacob and Joshua Perry are in your site this year. You spent a lot of time with Jake and Josh last summer and they still talk about the necklace you made them. They are great people…super friendly and their kids are the best.

We miss you a lot. It’s not the same when we go over to the pool and you two aren’t there for your evening dip!

I was reading about the weather in BC and feeling for you. It’s been hot and “muggy” here for about three weeks now with only a couple of days of rain. An unusual summer for us for sure…. I’m loving it.

If you win the lotto buy yourselves two plane tickets and come down for “Halloween”.

Take care of each other…I hope Deb is feeling better now!

Hi scott and pam… thanks for the great update/note. Hope you guys are well? Going to stay in the camper all summer? enjoy the pool? WE miss those little boys, so give them a big hug from us and tell them we say hi…they are pretty special little dudes! We are finally getting some better weather in the past two weeks, so it’s finally feeling like summer. Let’s hope it stays like this for a little while!

if we won a loto ticket (note to self.. buy one!), we’d be down there in a flash for sure!
