Every day we walk the same beach with the dogs… every day we see or find treasure
every day is a new landscape.

Sometimes it’s just the way the ocean looks…. glass calm, or stormy and rough. Somedays the tide is way out, and the great blue herons stand sentry in the shallow waters. Somedays the treasure is the tide’s way up, forcing us to walk amongst the bigger rocks… uncharted territory.
Sometimes it’s an eagle sighting… the other day one flew so close overhead we both ducked, and heard the wind in her feathers. Sometimes it’s a single eagle feather in the sand, as if a gift given by the eagle herself.
Sometimes it’s simply the view, brilliant green shoreline, red sand beach, mussel nets all in a neat row.
Sometimes it is something fun.. like stumbling across a mother and her two kids in kayaks, playing a game pretending we were pirates. Or remnants of a fox’s feast, or finding a tent nestled in the bushes by the randomly placed bench in a field.
Sometimes (well often to be exact), i am so focused on what treasures i might find in the sand, i almost miss the eagles overhead.
Look up kimi deb calls…Â look up!!

I love your look at life at Bayside. You two are great additions to the family at the best campground, anywhere.
