K, so i’m cranky again, pretty sure it’s something to do with being summer deprived…. don’t mind me.
The sun is shining today, so hoping it’ll burn the cranky off at some point!
We had a huge weekend. The motel was full of guests that were all going to the same wedding. I repeat, HUGE!
It was made more hectic as we have these monthly guys staying here and so have to kick them out… which means a lot of rooms at once to clean, and those monthly rooms need an extra special clean. Plus there is some pressure at the end of the weekend, as they are itching to get back to their rooms.
So thursday/friday leading up to the weekend was total rush, the weekend was total rush as there were some room shifts, late arrivals etc, then sunday was total rush cleaning… tired and CRANKY now!
Sometimes we get great guests, very appreciative, very respectful, other times not so much. As we were cleaning up, rushing to turn the rooms around so the monthly guys could come back in, i created a letter in my cranky head as i cleaned yet one more bathroom sink.
Dear No-tell-motel guest,
Thank you so much for staying with us here at the no-tell-motel. We appreciate your business. In fact we appreciate it so much we make a special effort to bend over backward to ensure your visit goes smoothly. Countless hours scrubbing bathrooms within an inch of their lives, removing errant hair, making sure there are no mice bodies, or other distasteful items in your room. We take pride in presenting you with a room fit for a king for your $85Â discounted rate.
Thanks so much for leaving us a great tip in the form of 1,000 beer cans, 600 empty water bottles, and other assorted recyclable products. The $11.28 we got for them was well worth the effort of cleaning them out of your room, rinsing each of them, sorting them and standing in line at the recycle shop… how thoughtful of you.
We also really appreciate you keeping your own things clean with our white towels. We do hope your high heels survived the muddy path up to the wedding, that black mud must have been hard to wipe off.
We appreciate all of the little touches you did for us to make our lives easier. Let us know how the bed-wetting child is.
At your service as always
