Had my last day at our little ocean front eden sunday. Woke up to a brilliant day, Gibsons, you never let me down!
Puttered about in the cottage, cleaning and getting the last of our things out of there, then went for a lovely long walk on our beach. Yes, our beach…have officially taken ownership.
Was feeling such a mix of emotions… completely bereft that the time is over and we have to leave, and incredible gratitude that we lucked in and were able to spend the winter in such an amazing place. Good buy Villa Santa Barbara, you were a beautiful winter fling!
Turns out our “Supper goddess Balabusta random girl” lives in a cute cottage on a lovely property, and said lovely property has a big driveway, and a generous landlady who’s let us park in the driveway… what luck! Well for us anyway, not sure it’s such great luck for random girl, as she’s had to inherit the role of taking care of kimi… and believe me, that role seems to be exponentially growing as kimi careens into her middle age.
The driveway we are staying in, tho rather large, was never designed with a 27′ airstream with a newbie driver in mind. Since deb’s still away, i had to enlist our new best random girl friend to help. Think deb deb might have to watch her p’s and q’s, she’s got serious competition in the trailer direction department. We not only performed a very complicated maneuver once but twice.
love the pictures. Hope you too are doing great. Stay in touch. We are camping this weekend, getting ready for opening day @ Bayside RV Campground
hopefully it’s not freezing cold camping! season’s coming up for sure. you going to mostly live in the airstream at the campground over the summer?
